How to Transfer Health Data to an iPhone or Apple Watch

In case you are preparing to switch to a new iPhone or Apple Watch, you must remember to transfer all your private data. It includes your Health data also.

Transferring health data via encrypted iCloud or iTunes backup

Let’s attach your iOS device to your PC through a USB wire.Now launch iTunes.Now go to your device icon and tap on it.Then press on the “Summary” tab.Next, mark the box following the option “Encrypt iPhone/iPad backup.”Then go to the “Manually Back Up & Restore” option and click on the “Back Up Now” tab.



Transferring health data through Syncing with iCloud 

Apple Watch provides you the feature to sync all your health data with iCloud. Like all other data synced to iCloud like your keychain, notes, and other information, your health data could be synced as well. 

Make sure that your device, including the Apple Watch, is updated before stepping forward to link all your health-related data with iCloud.

Follow these points to know how to sync health data with your iPhone:

First of all, enable your iCloud syncing feature.Then set up your smartphone with Apple Watch.Now go along with the onscreen instructions.

Transferring Health data to your new smartphone through Health data importer tool

Follow these steps to move all your health data to your smartphone:

Launch the Health application on your old smartphone.Now hit the health data icon.Search for your user icon available at the top-right edge of your screen and then hit it to open the particular page.Then, tap the “Export Health Data” option.Touch on the “Export” option. Wait for a while to proceed further.Now store and save your data that you exported a few minutes ago into the Files app.Then set up your current/new iPhone with all your likings.Now launch your Health app.Next, getting set up all your primary information.Now go to the app store and there install the Health Data Importer tool from the app store page.After installation of the application fully, tap the importer tool to expand.Touch the “Import” tab.Choose the export.zip option from the selected venue under the Files app.Now choose all the sources that you want to extract and import to the smartphone.Now hit the “Select All” option to transfer all your health-related backups to the new device.Then hit the “Next” button to proceed.Now a prompt related to health access will appear, and hit the “Turn All Categories On” option in order to permit the application to write to the stored health information related to you.Hit the “Allow” tab.Now touch the Files application indicated as file symbol. Then, wait for some time, it will import all your health-related data.Then hit the “Select” option located at the top-right edge.Next, search for the export.zip file and then tap on it.Touch the delete icon situated at the lowermost portion of your page.
