Steps to delete Fortnite (or Epic Games) account
Earlier deleting an Epic Games account was a long process. Users had to send an email to the company and ask them to delete their accounts and data. But, thankfully now you don’t need to go through that long procedure or send an email to the company. You can now visit the Epic Games website and opt to delete your account. Here is how.
Launch a browser on any of your preferred devices and go to ‘https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/.’
Home page of Epic Games website will open on your display, select Sign in option from the upper right side. If an account is already logged in, then make sure to verify it.
Enter Sign-in details of the Epic Games account you want to delete.
After verifying or signing in with the correct account put the mouse cursor on your username at the top right corner of the opened page. Doing so opens a dropdown menu.
Click on ‘Account.’ This will open the Account settings page of Epic Games.
Scroll to the end of the page.
Click on ‘Request Account Delete’ under the Delete Account heading.
Note: Once an Epic Games account will be deleted, you will not be able to recover at any cost in the future. Deleting it removes the account as well as erases the data from the linked games.
Epic Games will now send a confirmation email to the email address registered to your account. This email consists of a six-digit code that needs to be entered to proceed with the deletion process.
Open a new tap or use a different device to open the email and see the code.
Go back to the tab Epic Games website is opened, and provide the code into the Enter Security Code dialog box.
And click on ‘Confirm Delete Request.’
Click ‘Done’ on the confirmation message dialog.
